Environmental monitoring and field surveillance is a very important step in the Western Balkans Environmental Programme implementation and it is needed to demonstrate whether the physical works have contributed and to what extent to improving the environmental situation at all hotspots. Having in mind the importance of this issue the Regional Programme Management Unit developed two publications on the subject: Regional training on Environmental Monitoring and Field Surveillance and Environmental Monitoring and Field Surveillance Reference Guide.
The Publication Regional training on Environmental Monitoring and Field Surveillance contains a summary of the presentations provided by the expert, Dr. Larry Kapustka, followed by the working group summaries from the two-day Regional Training on Environmental Monitoring and Field Surveillance. It was held in Bečići, Montenegro on the 6th and 7th May 2009. In addition to the printed materials which are presented in this workbook, through the list of linkages, participants have access to electronic files of presentations made during the entire workshop.
