Back-to-back with the Regional Team Meeting on Study Tour Experience Exchange and Programme Progress, one day corporate training on Team Building for whole regional programme team was organized with the aim to: a) enhance generation and exchange of new ideas; b) stimulate direct communication and cooperation and c) increase the quality of the creative thinking especially in relation to importance of regional cooperation and how it can add value to specific project interventions. The training provided a systematic approach that influenced perceptions which is expected to lead to new ideas and increased problem solving, and consequently resulted in improvement of the overall team. Some of the topics tackled during the training were: better understanding of the importance of regional cooperation and exchange of experience; exchange of information in general; better communication and interaction among regional programme team members; development of “regional team” thinking, increasing the awareness of people about their own behaviour and contributions within the group, enhancement of the creative approach in problem solving etc.
The goal of the training was for each participant to reach:
- Better understanding of the added value of being part of the regional programme and his/her own role within the wider team in that context.
- Better knowledge of skills, responsibilities, challenges and achievements of other team members.
- Clear understanding of responsibilities and initiatives within the wider team and how they contribute to the programme goal. - Higher level of creativity in everyday problem solving.
The corporate training has been evaluated as very qualitative and the one that fully met participants expectations (for 17 out of 18 participants who filled in the evaluation forms) and was considered as very important part of the programme implementation. According to the evaluation forms received, it was suggested to work on the same topic in the forthcoming year as well.
